 ‪On Augist 21, 2015 We're celebrated the beginning of the school year , promoting education, anti-bullying & non-violence! Many youth from the Philadelphia came out to enjoy a few laps around the skating rink to start off the school year on the right foot.

On April 22, 2016 SLYA's had its first ever fashion show titled The Evolution. We intend to make this an annual event as it is a safe alternative programs which will creates opportunities for youth to unlock their potential You will see many of the youth we serve will be participated in the fashion show by way of modelling and/or even dancing.

 ‪#‎J6Lestweforget‬. On January 6, 2016 we held an event to honor the people who fought for peace and remembering the innocent lives lost during the war in Sierra Leone.

My Enkicha Story

On November, 19 2016 SLYA supported by the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and Art Place is hosting its First Annual ‘My Enkicha Story’: High Tea Empowerment Social Event. The event is open to all women and highly encouraged for our young girls in the Philadelphia area.

On May 12, 2017 SLYA's will host its second annual fashion show titled The Origim. This an annual event serves as a safe alternative program to create opportunities for our youth to unlock their potential and strengthen their leadership skills while having fun. Our youth had such a blast last year and couldn't wait to get started on the show this year.
